michelle arendt received her MA (Applied Linguistics & TESOL) at Portland State University and is pursuing her doctorate at the SOJC. Her research centers scholarly recontextualization: the translation of scholarly knowledge to nonspecialist audiences.Pursuing a career in research, about research, michelle’s interdisciplinary work supports Open Science initiatives by envisioning and outlining the communicative toolkit required of effective 21st century researchers.
